Winemaker dinner @Klosteret with Alsace Fan Day
On Friday 28th of June, Klosteret will be hosting a winemaker and four hands dinner under Alsace Fan Day. The winemaker Albert Seltz and food influencer Leïla Martin will also be present, and together we will serve classic dishes from the Alsace region with a modern touch, and as always, with the best of norwegian products paired with beautiful wines from the region.
Alsace Fan Day is a international festival to celebrate the Alsacian culture and cuisine, while bringing a bit of home to Alsacians spread throughout the world and anyone who wants to experiencing this beautful culture!
This year Klosteret will have a dinner event under this festival, which will be held on the 28th of June from 16:30. This will be a winemaker dinner together with Albert Seltz, a 14th generation owner and winemaker with the Seltz family, whom have been growing grapes om Mittelberheim since 1576.
This dinner will be a four hands dinner, with Klosteret's headchef Damien Prescod, coming from Normandy in France, he has literally been cooking his entire life, as he fell in love with food when he was only 4 yeas old, and never grew apart from this passion. For the last 6 years, he moved to Norway, and since then creating dishes influenced by his french roots, but also by the surroundings and using what Norway has best to offer, often working with local farmers and suppliers. , and food influencer Leïla Martin.
We will start the evening with a cremant and an amuse bouche followed by a 5 course, each paired with a biodinamic wine- from the Seltz domain.
